Overview: Take a deep breath and get ready for this amazing smart phone’s launch, yes you guys guessed it right, we are talking about the new sensation X1 XPERIA  from Sony Ericsson. Even though it’s not launched officially by Sony Ericsson but still Mobile phones geeks are describing this smart phone as a big success and a block buster in the market of Smart phones. On the other hand Sony Ericsson Xperia is declared to be the next “IPHONE Slammer”. So many great features, looks and performance aspects makes it a perfect smart phone and stands it high in competition with IPHONE 3G and other smart phones as well. XPERIA is a touch screen smart phone with the highest resolution display among all the smart phones. And the second most impressive aspect about this phone is that it has an optional joystick and a Slider QWERTY keyboard, which makes it a perfect smart phone. Beside all these features, XPERIA is built on Windows Mobile Operating system, which makes it even a powerful platform, because windows OS enables many applications, software & features, and it is the most user friendly interface as well. For multimedia aspects it has 3.2 megapixel Camera, GPS navigation system, Windows media player, 400 MB of internal memory with memory card slot for expandable memory. Even internet surfing and connectivity features are extremely good as it has Quad band GSM with HSPDA and WI-FI connectivity.

Features & performances: Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA is a touch screen user interface smart phone. This is known to be the best ever touch screen interface made for smart phones. It is 3 inches wide, which is almost as big as IPhone’s 3.5 inches. But the fact which makes Xperia’s touch screen interface best is the resolution it produces. It has 800 x 480 pixel resolution. Its Quality makes it even power pack Smart phone performer. Its display is just superb for web page layout, video playbacks, Image views etc. XPERIA uses a premium metal body which makes it body pretty solid. A lot of hard work gone through in its designing and it shows perfectly.

Multimedia & other Features: While taking about multimedia features of XPERIA, its Touch screen interface comes in mind, but its camera is up to the mark, as it was expected to be, it has only 3.2 megapixels camera. Lot of expectation were made because it’s a really promising smart phone but Camera has still only 3.2 megapixel abilities, if it could have been 5 megapixel, it could have bang the market even harder. Its camera has autofocus and digital zoom which can produce good quality images and snapshots. Now let’s move on to music playback features. XPERIA is built on Microsoft windows operating system. For music playback it has windows media player, which is able to produce 3D surround sound quality. Also it can be connected to your PC, so you guys can synchronize you Mp3 and video files. Music player is also able to support all kind of popular music file formats. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack to produce good quality sound, and it also supports Bluetooth headset, for wireless music playback on the go.

Connectivity, Messaging, GPS systems: These days almost every smart phone has GPS navigation systems included. But the most impressive and high end GPS navigation system I have ever seen is in XPERIA. With GPS you guy can find Google Maps, or even can use Navigation indicator software which guides you step by step deeply. As we know that it is based on HSPDA high speed internet connectivity feature, web browsing is extremely smooth and fast. Messaging and typing is just incredible as it has QWERT keyboard. XPERIA is a 3G phone comes with HSDPA, a fast internet connection ready for on the go business needs.  XPERIA supports a range of connectivity options – USB, Bluetooth and WLAN – so you can browse the web using a free and fast WiFi connection, provided that you are in a WiFi hotspot or have a WLAN network in your home or office.

Positives and Drawbacks: Overall as we have described, Sony Ericsson XPERIA is a power pack smart phone with all the possible features included. Its battery life is good as its supports 6 hours talk time and 20 day stand by time. On the other hand, I really liked other features which are Wifi, QWERTy keyboards, Extremely good Touch screen interface and yes most of its user friendly OS.  Whole and sole we can say that it’s a perfect smart phone giving great competition to Nokia’s N96 , Apple’s IPhone , LG’s Viewty, and even Samsung’s new sensation “Omnia”.
