Design, Build and Performance - ASUS F6VE is designed pretty well, and it is more of a new notebooks generation design. But with the price range of $1300 we were expecting something more innovative from ASUS as far as design is concerned. ASUS F6VE has a glossy Paint around the outer body lid, and the inner body part is done with some textured body paint. Keyboards is well designed, and keys are matte finished painted with some sort of sparkle on them. Overall appearance of ASUS F6VE lacks with some innovative design elements, because with the price range of that much, we must expect something new from them.

Display Screen – ASUS F6VE is designed with 13.3 wide screen display screen, and it uses 16:10 Ratio Screen Format. Its WXGA Resolution is 1280×800 which is pretty good for this screen size, because notebook users will not have to scroll a lot as they have to in 768 vertical height resolution screens. All the media buttons on the edges are touch sensitive, and when they are touched or pressed they get a slow glowing backlight which dissolves within a second. The Keyboard is silver colored which suits perfectly to the outer body color and gives is a decent professional look. Now let’s move on the newly added Hinge look, it is really unique. On the top edge on the display screen, its 2.0 Megapixel Web Camera is located.

Screen & Speakers: DELL XPS M1330 is equipped with 13 inch wide display screen with WXGA standard feature. Its picture quality is quite incredible as its glossy display screen is quite able to produce good quality Video and image output. While testing it with HD movie prints, I was quite pleased with the results and performance. Now moving on the speakers and sound quality, and I must say I was impressed during its test, its speakers are placed just on top of the keyboard, near to media buttons. Its sounds system is not that loud, but when quality matters, it’s quite good enough with size f the notebook. On the other way it has Microphone and headphone jack, which can be used to even better audio and sound quality with ear buds.

Keyboard & touchpad specification: Keyboards is well designed as I have described earlier, it is grey colored and keys are well managed and have proper spaces between each other for convenient and fast typing. So I think there isn’t much to talk about it, it’s simply perfectly designed. Talking about touchpad, well its smooth and easy to navigate with curser, it has vertical and horizontal scroll which is quite smooth and easy o work with. But still I must say that you guys should go for Bluetooth mouse or USB Mouse for proper usages.

Camera: XPS M1330 is equipped with VGA web Camera with the capacity of 2 megapixels. Its colors, contrast and brightness features are quite good. Its camera is quite good enough for usually webcam chats and minimal notebook Photo captures. During my test I found images and pictures I captured with its camera were quite good, and video recording was good as well.

Battery: Yes its battery is the most impressive feature I found in it, it has 9-cell battery which is capable for 4 hours and 50 minutes battery life. So it’s quite a good for those use notebooks while traveling. When I was testing its battery life while watching HD Movies it ended till nearly 3 hours, which is quite impressive as well. So I think it’s a power pack notebook with great performance, looks and battery life.

Performance and Productivity: Well we have described every single aspect and feature of this incredible notebook has. I must say that XPS M1330 is an incredibly built notebook with style, sleek looks, Performance and productivity at the same time. Design and Looks: As I have mentioned earlier that dell was a brand name associated with ugly looking bulky notebooks with good performance, but they have proved everybody wrong, with their new Studio series notebooks, as they are able to produce great performances and it is sleek and stylish as well. Certainly make Dell a great choice for looks and styles oriented notebook users. Studio 17 looks like they have updated DELL XPS M 1530, but it is more aimed towards solid design and construction. Its 17 inches wide screen can be a bit larger for those mobility based users, but it could be a perfect desktop replacement notebook as well. As I have mentioned that Studio 17 notebooks seems to be highly inspired with DELL XPS series laptop because it has almost same feel and look like well designed hinges, touch sensitive media buttons, Matte finish colors on outer Body. Dell have launched Studio 17 with 7 colors option for their customers that includes Flamingo Pink, Midnight Blue, Tangerine Orange, Plum Purple, Ruby Red, Spring Green and default standard Jet black. It has Matte finish color texture just similar to inspiron series notebooks. Overall if we look at the build and design of Studio 17 notebook I must say is quite incredible than their earlier version, they have improved a lot on style, color and those vital aspects that makes Dell’s notebooks stand apart in competition.

Screen, Display and Speakers: As its name gives you better idea, Yes DELL’s Studio 17 has a 17 inch WXGA wide display screen. Dell offers you to go with WXGA Glossy Display with 1440 x 900 resolutions or 1920 x 1200. When I saw my Dell Studio 17 notebook its display screen was looking pretty nice. I must say its 17 inch screen would be ideal for those who use laptops for HD movies with Blu-Ray disks, as it also have option for Blu-ray disk. And for those graphic designers who want to use it for their design work, it suits them perfect as well. Well now let’s move on to the Speakers and studio output of studio 17 notebook, I must say its speakers are quite able to produce good quality sounds and audio output, I have noticed that Dell have improved a lot on speaker since their earlier releases, it has inbuilt subwoofers which makes sounds quality even better. Its speakers are located just above to the keyboard. Can’t describe more on the speaker, must say they are quite good in my opinion. And yes of course it has headphones jack slots available if you still want better and refined sounds solution.

Media Controls, Touchpad and Keyboard: Dell Have produced one of the best keyboards with this Studio 17 notebook. I’m really impressed with key interfaces as it has enough wide space between keys, which makes typing convenient and fast as well. And yes when you’re in dark area or without light it has backlight feature which makes even easier to type in the dark. Well let’s move on to connectivity performance and features available in Dell Studio 17 notebook. It has FireWire 5 USB ports Microphone Jack, 8in one card reader, expressed card slot and Ethernet port. Well yes, it also has Bluetooth device integration as well to connect to your Bluetooth headphones, Mouse and mobile phones as well. Dell Studio has traditional DVD/CD writer Drive and with optional featured for adding “Blu-Ray” disk reader.

Battery Life: 9-cell lithium-ion battery provides excellent battery life for the Studio 17. 9-cell battery delivers more than 2 hours of battery life. With the power management settings set to “power saver” with wireless off and the screen brightness set to 50 percent the 9-cell battery could deliver more than 2 hours and 39 minutes of life. I think it’s quite good as far as it is compared to other notebook’s battery life.

Performance and Productivity: Well what I can say about Studio 17’s productivity and performance, as it’s a power pack well configured notebooks for every aspects. It is well equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 Processor [2.5GHZ], 3GB of Ram which is well enough for every task and vista basic memory usage. Beside that it has 320 GB of Toshiba Hard Disk with 5400 RPM. All these great configuration features makes this notebook a performance based machine with great sleek looks and 17 inches wide Display screen. For Dedicated graphics and addiction memory it has ATI Radeon HD 3650 graphics card, which is quite a good source for power gaming and 3D Aero windows interface applications.

Design Looks & Build of DELL Inspiron 1525: The year 2007 was full of critics for Dell, because they launched and produce some heavy bulky laptops, but time is over as year 2008 was a great success for Dell. Inspiron 1525 is Thin, sleek and pretty much stylish notebook from DELL’s releases this year. Dell have launched Inspiron with 8 different unique color combination and choices for their users to choose, which certainly gives them wide range to chose their favorite notebook colors, but Jet black is the default color for the inspiron 1525 notebook. Its glossy color on outer body makes it really a good looking notebook.

Screen: DELL Inspiron Display features are quite good as well as it includes matte finish 15.4 inches widescreen XGA with 1280 x 800. It is based on True Life Glossy finish. I found its display features quite incredible, because average user will find these features and look stunning for sure.

Touchpad, Keyboard, & Multi Media Control keys: The Keyboard and designs of Keys are similar to their earlier version Inspiron 1520. That was quite good and impressive as well. Touchpad interface is nice as well, as it is quite flawless and smooth. Touchpad’s buttons are well designed and separated to easy use and navigation for selecting Drag and Drop options. It has vertical and horizontal scroll as well which works fine smoothly, for scrolling windows and other usages. It has Media button with Blue LED light just above the keyboard which disappears after few second we press them.

Slots & Ports: Dell Inspiron has in built HDMI port which is ideal for those users who like to use digital output. They have included S-video and VGA ports as well. Inspiron 1525 has 4 USB ports, 2 headphone jacks, express card slot, 8-in-one Media card reader and an Ethernet Port as well.

Speakers: The Quality of Inspiron 1525‘s Speakers is pretty nice, they are located just above the keyboard and near to media buttons. Even though there isn’t much to talk about its sound capabilities, but still audio output and sounds quality is good enough, and with ear bud headphone jack it’s even better.

Performance Analysis: One thing I must say that the dedicated graphics addition availablity they have taken out from inspiron 1525 is a worst one, because they had this feature in their earlier version inspiron 1520. I do not know the exact reason behind this but may be they wanted to make it for average laptop users for Music, and multimedia productivity features. It’s not that notebook with high end graphic features for cutting edge 3d features, but still it’s a productive notebook. I would like to see some dedicated graphic memory added to this brilliant notebook, which could have made it even better choice for any buyer looking for great multimedia productivity features. On the other way it has ever possible multimedia productivity feature like great day today PC usage features, Average Multimedia performances and business needs.

Battery Life: Inspiron 1525 has an excellent 6-cell 56 WHr Li- ion. It delivers 2 hours and 53 minutes of battery life, which is usually and quite good for any notebook. They also have 9-cell 85 WHr Li-Ion battery, which can be bough additionally and can be add in the notebook while customizing the configuration of the notebook.

Features & performances: Sony Ericsson’s XPERIA is a touch screen user interface smart phone. This is known to be the best ever touch screen interface made for smart phones. It is 3 inches wide, which is almost as big as IPhone’s 3.5 inches. But the fact which makes Xperia’s touch screen interface best is the resolution it produces. It has 800 x 480 pixel resolution. Its Quality makes it even power pack Smart phone performer. Its display is just superb for web page layout, video playbacks, Image views etc. XPERIA uses a premium metal body which makes it body pretty solid. A lot of hard work gone through in its designing and it shows perfectly.

Multimedia & other Features: While taking about multimedia features of XPERIA, its Touch screen interface comes in mind, but its camera is up to the mark, as it was expected to be, it has only 3.2 megapixels camera. Lot of expectation were made because it’s a really promising smart phone but Camera has still only 3.2 megapixel abilities, if it could have been 5 megapixel, it could have bang the market even harder. Its camera has autofocus and digital zoom which can produce good quality images and snapshots. Now let’s move on to music playback features. XPERIA is built on Microsoft windows operating system. For music playback it has windows media player, which is able to produce 3D surround sound quality. Also it can be connected to your PC, so you guys can synchronize you Mp3 and video files. Music player is also able to support all kind of popular music file formats. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack to produce good quality sound, and it also supports Bluetooth headset, for wireless music playback on the go.

Connectivity, Messaging, GPS systems: These days almost every smart phone has GPS navigation systems included. But the most impressive and high end GPS navigation system I have ever seen is in XPERIA. With GPS you guy can find Google Maps, or even can use Navigation indicator software which guides you step by step deeply. Positives and Drawbacks: Overall as we have described, Sony Ericsson XPERIA is a power pack smart phone with all the possible features included. Its battery life is good as its supports 6 hours talk time and 20 day stand by time. On the other hand, I really liked other features which are Wifi, QWERTy keyboards, Extremely good Touch screen interface and yes most of its user friendly OS.  Whole and sole we can say that it’s a perfect smart phone giving great competition to Nokia’s N96 , Apple’s IPhone , LG’s Viewty, and even Samsung’s new sensation “Omnia”. LG Viewty Video Camera is pretty impressive as well, as it is able to produce high resolution 320 x 240 pixels QVGA and with good frame rates as well, it has also a feature for slow motion special effect for those who loves mobile phone video recording. Plus on the other hand its inbuilt photo editing tool also makes things really easy for those who love to shoot via mobile phone cameras.

Multimedia and Music Player: LG viewty’s Mp3 & multimedia player is pretty impressive as well. It can play every music format MP3/AAC/AAC+/AAC++/WMA. On the other way, stereo headphones are really good and produce quality sound and music playback. LG Viewty had Inbuilt FM radio. For music and multimedia file storage viewty has inbuilt memory capacity of 90 Mbs, but it can be expanded up to 2 Gb of memory through Memory card. In the overview we have already mentioned that the Viewty is a 3G enable and compatible phone. It supports 3G connection through HSDPA which enables download speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps. Bluetooth and USB connectivity are available, and a USB cable is supplied in the box. LG Viewty’s inbuilt web browser is also enriched with some good features and add-ons.

Conclusion and Summary: As this review explains lot of positive and negative aspects of LG viewty, but we must say that the only flaw of LG viewty is its Battery life, it is really shocking that such a nice Smart phone enriched with every possible feature and services has a poor battery life, which makes it a bit lesser in value in comparison with IPhone or any other smart phone. On the other side, we personally liked viewty a lot, at least it is far more better than “LG’s Prada”.
