Apple MacBook Notebook Review: Features, Configuration, Performance
Overview – Earlier this week, Apple launched their new Macbook notebook with new Price range. Apple has announced this new macbook with increased price then the earlier version, and that is the biggest turn off for their consumers. We were expecting them to reduce their prices, but they increased it. Though it’s looks and built resembles just like Macbook Pro, but it lacks a lot of features and high end performance features, but still they made it more expensively, which makes me wonder, why? And the reason behind that is that I was expecting them to produce a notebook which is competitive with those windows based notebooks out in the market with the price range of $500-600. On the other hand if we go technically than Apple have built Macbook with NVIDIA 9400M IGP Chipset, which is pretty good performance wise, and with 2GB of RAM makes it power pack performer if you are planning for a notebook to run multiple applications at the same time. If we figure out deeply and look for flaws then only things I would say is that its price of $999 is a major turn off for average people, because there are loads of other options available for that much budget and with even much more performance standards.
Design, Build and Looks – Macbook models are quite well known and famous for plastic acrylic bodies, and the difference between the plastic Macbook and the new aluminum build is the wipe out of Glass and aluminum form the basic material used for the body. Design look flawless, as Apple is famous for their cutting edge elegant designs, and they have done great job with it as well.
Display and Screen – Well Screen could be the biggest left off for New Macbook, because they left LED back light, and because of that the earlier bright screen is nowhere near in this one. Its plastic Screen coating is way to high glossy, but the problem is that it’s not that much bright as it was in the aluminum Macbook.
Conclusion – I think if we forget about the price issue, Apple have done great job with this release. And they have finally got the right design and built. Earlier Macbooks used to suffer from excess heat issues, but that is solved and construction wise it’s an improved product as well. On the other side if we look into performance standards, than I must say that there are great options available in the market as an alternative for Macbook with lesser price and much more performance standards.
